Ruth Little from Anfield, Breckfield Community Centre has embraced this project since it’s inception and says...
ABCC have been delighted to work with AfroReggae during the last few months, having had time to plan and prepare staff and volunteers has made a massive difference to us. As a community organisation we have limited resources and being able to build this into our summer programme has enabled us to give the young people this fantastic experience. All too often Big organisations fail to enage with the community at an early stage and this results in a programme that is difficult to support from a community level. (Community organisations know what works in their community and can make a big difference to the outcome of a project).

The Out of the Blue festival is a focal point for which the young people can aim, and having such a varied programme is providing excitement and an energy that has the young people buzzing.

We have also attracted some of the more hard to engage young people into the project through AfroReggae. The has been a project that will leave a lasting legacy for Anfield and the young people something to talk about FOREVER!!
