AfroReggae has arrived in West Everton

AfroReggae has arrived in West Everton and the whole community knows it.
We had a lovely session on Tuesday at the WECC where people of all ages came to introduce themselves to the hugely talented AfroReggae group. We had all of the neighbours out supporting those participating in the drumming workshop, it was a lovely community event.
We have then gone on to target the young people of the specific 15 to 19 age range. This started with introductions and exchanging experiences on Wednesday evening. AfroReggae then invited some of the young men to a football match at the Shewsy on Thursday night. We had approximately 15 young men take turns in a five aside against AfroReggae. The evening ended with AfroReggae showing footage of the work they do and the communities they come from. The young men asked lots if insightful questions whilst AfroReggae were equally interested in their experiences.
We hope this is the beginnings of a successful relationship with the young people of West Everton and we are looking forward to more from AfroReggae.
