Everyman Unbound start rehearsals
20th August 2010
The cast and company of the Everyman’s Unbound season were welcomed to the Everyman on Monday evening following the first day of rehearsals in Liverpool.

After some refreshments the cast and company were given an introduction by the Everyman and Playhouse Communications team about the work they would be doing to support Unbound before and during its 6 week season.
An ensemble photo was also taken of the cast, company and writers, inspired by the iconic 1975 original. Individual members of the cast also had their photo’s taken outside the Everyman doors for the season’s programme marking nicely the penultimate Everyman season before its re-development in 2011.

Liverpool actor, Kevin Harvey began acting with the Everyman Youth Theatre when he was 12 and has since appeared in the 2004 production of Yellowman at the Everyman and on tour (for which he received an Olivier Award Nomination) and in Tiny Volcanoes during Everyword, goes on tour in November. Harvey commented how he feels privileged to work on a production which is celebrating the history of the theatre. The season will see familiar faces return to the Everyman as well as some new talent.
The Everyman Unbound season is made up of John Ford’s classic, ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore and Anthology, a series of seven adventures, inspired by Ford’s play and Liverpool. Each night Anthology will take audience members backstage, on stage and off stage. Both plays go beyond the conventional, something for which the Everyman Theatre is famed, giving the Unbound season a resonant quality.
The Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse is co-producing Anthology with the groundbreaking company Slunglow. Anthology is also in partnership with students from Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts.
‘Tis Pity opens on 16 September and Anthology on 28 September when they will both run in rep until the end of October.
