Christmas comes early as productions at the Everyman and Playhouse win 7 of the 9 Theatre awards in the best of Liverpool culture. Winners include Anthology, Ghost Boy, Morecambe, Kevin Trainor, Eileen O'Brien, Janet Suzman and Jon Bausor.
The winners of the annual Liverpool Daily Post Arts Awards were announced today and we are delighted to say that many of our productions were winners.

Best Production: Anthology - our co-production with the fabulous Slung Low which took theatregoers on to the streets of Liverpool with great stories well told written by some of our favourite
playwrights.

Best Touring Production: Ghost Boy at the Everyman from Keith Saha's 20 Stories High. A 10/10 triumph and a company we committed there and then to work with in the future.

Best Comedy: Morecambe by Bob Golding. Did you don an Eric mask in Williamson Square and sing 'Bring Me Sunshine' ?

Best Actor: Kevin Trainor as Billy in Jonathan Harvey's Canary.

Best Actress: Eileen O'Brien as Elsie in Jeff Young's Rag and Bone as part of Anthology
Best Director: Janet Suzman's glorious production of Antony and Cleopatra starring Kim Cattrall and Jeffery Kissoon
Best Design: Jon Bausor's inventive sets for both Ghost Stories in February at the Playhouse and the current Christmas show No Wise Men.
