New Photographic Exhibition

COLIN THORPE: OUT OF THE SHADOWS features a remarkable selection of photographs from the vast archive of Colin Thorpe, official photographer for the Liverpool Playhouse through the 1960s and 1970s, having taken over from the celebrated Edward Chambré Hardman in 1962.

Curated by Mariko Kishida-Thorpe at the Liverpool John Moores University, the collection comprises striking images of Ian McKellen, Anthony Hopkins, Michael Gambon, Patrick Stewart, John Thaw, Lynda La Plante, Ken Dodd, and many more.

Colin Thorpe: Out of the Shadows runs until Tue 13 Apr at the Art and Design Academy, Duckinfield Street at Liverpool John Moore's University.
