Smoking out a Graveyard
Lizzie Nunnery's play performs in one of Liverpool’s most famous graveyards. Creating smoke outside without showing the audience where it is coming from can be hard so we’ve done a couple of tests late at night to ensure it will work. Pictured is Slung Low’s Daniel Rollings. Who isn’t in the show but drew the short straw and was made model.

A Trolley Full of Kit
So the sound comes from the actor. Via a radio mic. Into a computer. So Heather’s music and Matt’s sound effects can mingle with the live voice, and the recorded characters can be added. Then from the computer in to a mixing desk, into a broadcaster and into the ears of the audience. That’s the easy bit. Now we have to make the whole thing sit on a trolley. And be powered off a car battery. So making that happen is what we did today.
A very short video of Matt Angove constructing the prototype trolley.
