To meet and greet

The meet and greet at The Playhouse today for Tiny Volcanoes on the first day of rehearsals was a ‘Hi my name is …I am…’ between the Everyman and Playhouse, Plaines Plough, and the Tiny Volcanoes cast and company.
Some expressed uneasiness about the inescapable camping calamities that go alongside festival- ing! However following this was excitement and pride, as Tiny Volcanoes prepares to showcase at Latitude arts festival amidst writers such as Sebastian Faulks, poets as bold as John Cooper Clarke, and Liverpool’s own musicians, The Coral.
The meet moved into the rehearsal room at the Playhouse, and a readthrough of the script commenced with two of Liverpool’s fantastically talented actors Michael Ryan and Kevin Harvey. The room was in stitches as they spouted out bundles of subjects that make Britain ‘proud’, and blasts of dead-on impersonations of celebrities and politicians that were exceptionally uncanny!
Rehearsals continue and I’m sure Laurence’s evolving script will enjoy more bold injections before it takes to the Latitude stage!
I wish all involved good luck and to the actors Kevin and Michael ‘’break a leg!’’
